A Coffee Sleeve Mini

Hello everyone I recently was in another swap on Mini Album Scraps (MAS)....the challenge was to make a Garden theme coffee sleeve or coin pocket mini I decided to do the coffee sleeves. Well it took me forever to get a coffee sleeve cause no one had any except for the Starbucks......I had to buy something though.....smile  but that's ok...... because what I did was make a coffee sleeve template on my Gypsy!(have I ever told you how much I love my Gypsy! I love my Gypsy....) This way I could make them any size I wanted to and of course I just had to made them a little bigger than the one from Starbucks! (how else was I going to fit all the stuff that I wanted put on the pages of the mini....the ones from Starbucks were just too tiny).......Well I started with the cover and this is not a actually sleeve but it's cut in the shape of a coffee sleeve....the hummingbird  you see below is colored with my copics and then I added glossy accents over that but  wait right before the glossy accents completely dried I added fine glitter...the flowers throughout the mini are either altered or made and if you look at the post before this one you can see how to make those...I had a ball making this mini even though it's my first coffee sleeve mini.....I hope my partner likes it as  much as I did having fun creating it and as always happy crafting Suzy-Q

Flowers!

Hi Everyone

Today I wanted to share how I make or should I say alter flowers that I get from the store I normally get the white ones...These flowers came from Joann.  As you see I buy them on the bush and then take them apart.  The supplies I used are in the background....... I sprayed it with color wash (butterscotch) first gave it time to dry and then added the a homemade glimmer mist(it's a pink) to it but that did not give it a glimmer at all so then I pulled out the stickles and that did it! I then inked the edges after stickles dried with my distress ink there you have it!( I only did this because I wanted a darker edge but I normally ink the edges first)  I hope that you give it a try...so much cheaper than buying the flowers in the Scrapbooking sections!   And you can make them any color you like....
