Dress Forms

I wanted to try my hand at decorating dress forms ...  Yes Dress Forms and boy these little beauties are so addictive to make. I really had a blast making them :  I used the Tim Holtz die cut then I cut several pieces of chip board so that they would be sturdy afterwards I glued them all together.... I got lucky at Joann and found some really pretty cardstock that feels like fabric it was on clearance! WooHoo While I was surfing youtube.com I came across this video for making a brooch that I used for the middle of  two of the dress forms.....these are way too cool....  http://youtu.be/i9puwAsBJZM ...I had to change up a few things to made it work for me but that was not a problem love they way they turned out!....... I used tulle and lace to make the dresses and what is a dress form without a little bing and a stickpin! Hope that you enjoy what I done  TFL Happy Crafting Suzy-Q

SOC's Hot Fun in the Summertime Blog Hop

This weekend marks the official start of summer--days filled with a little travel, fun, and relaxation with family and friends! So to celebrate, I, along with some talented crafters, have teamed up to share projects that display summer fun! Of course, a blog hop isn't complete without blog candy! There will be giveaways on various blogs throughout the hop! Plus there will be a SOC(Scraps of Color) blog hop gift awaiting one visitor!! To be eligible for that prize, you must comment on all the blogs by Mon, June 25 at 11pm EST. From all who are eligible, one lucky reader will be randomly drawn. The winner will be posted on all the participating blogs on Wed, June 27. So here on my blog I did a layout of my children from 1988 I can't believe how they have grown! They are two and one in this picture. My daughter the oldest is in school right now for early child education and taking care of her baby.  My son here pictured is a miracle baby he was born 2 months early overseas in the Philippines he had a 50/50 chance of living today he serves in the United States Coast Guard. I am extremely proud of both of my children!  Post a comment and I 'll have a special blog candy surprise for one lucky person that stops by! Remember stay cool and have fun this summer! Suzy-Q

Flowers! Flowers! and more Flowers!

I joined a swap over on minialbumscraps.ning.com to swap handmade flowers. I really enjoyed making these flowers....a lot of the supplies came from Hobby Lobby and Tuesday Morning.  Cloth flowers a my favorite ones to make and  most of these are made out of ribbon and trim that I found in the fabric section...and they are so easy to make. I really wanted to step up my game and make them a little more dimensional than I did the last time so this time I added liquid pearls, stickles, and buttons that I got from various places some are even from swaps..love swapping with fellow crafters. If you have any questions please leave a message and
I will be sure to get back to you...
As always Happy Crafting!

My first Card Swap

I have recently completed a card swap and it was very challenging but I was happy on how the cards  turned out I used a stamp that I had found at Michael's and the cardstock came from HL and Michaels the sentiment I typed and printed on the computer. I also used a die cut from spellbinders that I really like...TFL
