This charm is for my brave sister-in-law who is in remission right now from Breast Cancer....  If you have any questions please feel free to  e-mail me!

Used Wordle.net for the tag then used a Spellbinder die cut to get the scallop edge

Most of the charms I used came from e-bay..the large metal ribbon is a Michaels find and the smaller metal ribbons are from Hobby Lobby

Used a Cuttle bug folder to emboss the large pink ribbon that I cut with my e-Craft die cut machine!

e-Craft Cutting Machine My New Toy!

I have a new addition to my die cut machines......It's the e-Craft by Craftwell.......there is a bit of a learning curve which I plan on mastering here soon...but the two biggest things that I really like are that it does not require a sticky mat to cut ...you do need something that would stabilize thin sheets of cards stock ....but guess what? After a little bit of research ....the item that I am using can be brought from the dollar store how neat is that.....  and Craftwell allows you to import files like SVG and while I do not know how to convert the other types of files yet it will let you convert other files to cut! They have also partnered up with Make the Cut...and how awesome is that!!!! I have been playing with my e-craft machine since this afternoon and I  and see that I will have endless possibilities on creating all kind of neat crafty project.... Don't get me wrong I still love my Cricut.....but it just great being able to have other options when looking for shapes or Font to cut! Here are few pictures....As always Happy Crafting

Cricut Craftroom! WooHoo

I have finally been granted access to the Cricut Craftroom! It does remind me of Design Studio just a little but is easier to navigate!  I was up and running in no time...it does help having the Gypsy and the Expressions 2 (E2).....when using the CCR I did use the help button a few times too....What did not help is that I was playing with it at 12:30 at night after being up since 6:30 that morning...Smile will have more updates once I have played with CCR some more....PS I did not receive an invite! (I was periodically trying to sign in each week to see if I was given access)...this last time it worked......How About That! Happy Crafting Everyone......

Another Swap over at Scraps of Color (SOC)

I have been involved in a few swaps over on SOC and having so much fun creating some really wonderful Crafty projects my latest one is making book markers this was a lot of fun! I did not have to buy any book markers I had some in my stash...Can you say the happy crafting dance...love when that happens. I knew that I wanted to put a phrase on the book marker and at first I was looking for something that had to do with reading! However, Michaels was having a sale on Tim Holtz's products of course I could not pass that up! I found the neatest phrase and knew that it was the one...I distressed all my book markers with the some distressing ink by Tim Holtz (tea dye) and then I sprayed Glimmer mist which is hard to see on the pictures ....I also used one of the decorative stamp off of the same group of stamps by Tim Holtz for the bottom of the book marker. At the top I used a stamp from a different stamp set. Then I took the book markers to the School Box store and had them laminate them which is 0.25 a foot...what a deal! Here is the finished product....

Recipe Card for a swap on Scraps of Color

This was a fun but a Challenging swap I had the hardest time finding embellishments for my recipe lay out. But it worked out in the end! I found some paper at Joann Craft store but they did not have enough of the card stock left so I took the one sheet that I had and copied it at Office Max....it was 50 cents a copy but I only need three sheets I copied it on to 110 weight card stock! I also could not find a chili pepper on any of my Cricut cartridges...I was going to use a free clip art image but that meant me having to cut each one out...My Cricut has made me lazy!....I found a shape close to it and only had to cut the bottom of the die cut rather than having to cut the whole image out! Added Inkssentials Glossy accents for a dimensional effect! The recipe is from the website http salad-in-a-jar.com Here are a few pictures of some of my embellishments and the finished product.... Happy Crafting Everyone!

The glossy accent was not completely dry

Distressed and embossed with a Sizzix  embossing plate

Copic Markers

About a week ago I was able to get some free digi stamps at Cutting Cafe one of my favorite sites for digi stamps! I wanted to start getting some copic markers and this was a good reason to get them so that I do my own coloring!  Keep in mind this my first attempt and no where near as nice as some of the wonderful and talented ladies out there! I watched some of the youtube videos by suzannejdean she is very informative and I learned a lot. This Digi Stamp is from http://digitalpenciltoo.com/  which was used on one of the videos that I watched ...just fell in love with it!  Suzqucrafter21

Distressed Tags!

Here are some distressed tags that I made for
another swap over at Scraps of Color...I
had so much fun with this swap...and I learned
so much from the Tim Holtz video's on Youtube.com
I decided to leave them un-embellished and attach
charms to them.

You can't really tell from the picture but these have a feel of old leather to them!

I did the distressing first then and once it dried I stamped it a
a clear butterfly stamp...then sprayed it with
some glimmer mist
Again here I distressed and let it dry and then added the stamped
flower...by Martha Stewart (Love her stamp sets)
This is one of my favorites with the same process as above!
On all of thise tags I used the Tim Holtz's Distressing Inks
and on most of them I used Glimmer Mist! On the ones that have
the look of leather I embossed them
with one my Fiskar's embossing folders!
As I said I looked at several videos before starting this project!
